A bit of disappointment

Hello all,

I suppose I put this off long enough.  After building up your hopes over the past month, I will not be able to show you what Owen was for Halloween.  Because he was nothing.  He would not put on his costume.  Not one stitch of it.  In all honesty, I was more disappointed because I could not take cute pictures and show all of you than I was because he didn't wear it.  I actually wasn't that surprised.  Nonetheless, here's what he would have been, had he cooperated:

It's Max from Where the Wild Things Are.  I was going to let him gnash his terrible teeth and roar his terrible roar.  But it was not to be.  If anyone needs a costume for next year, size 2-3T let me know!  Owen just might be this next year too.  Hopefully he won't grow the way little boys grow...  Nope, I take that back.

Instead, Owen trick or treated with three of his cousins, Ben, Sam, and Anna.  The two bigger boys ran up and down the streets in excitement the way boys do on Halloween.  The two younger kids stayed in the wagon and let the adults do most of the work.  Which we were happy to do.  The weather was nice (no rain, not freezing) and we made it up and down several streets.  What a crazy neighborhood we live in, and ours is the craziest street!  Here is our motley crew (Ben was a Wii remote, Sam was Spider-man in cowboy books, and Anna was a kangaroo.  Owen of course, was nothing):

Sorry these are the best pictures I've got.  I was a bit disscombobulated...

So to make myself feel better this week, I organized my scrap area.  I added a shelf from IKEA and redistributed supplies that I use a bit more or less than I used to.  This is my corner:

Look at these drawers, stuffed to the gills.  Ehrin, you would go nuts!

Here are some layouts from last weekend and this week:

Hope all is well for you guys.  Daylight savings this weekend, everyone without a toddler gets an extra hour of sleep!

Sorry to hear about your son. Darn those kids sometimes just don't want to co-operate, haha!

Have a great weekend :)

I loooove, love, love the costume! He will look so cool in it next year (Liam still wears a lot of 2T and he'll be 3 in a few weeks so you never know!)
I don't know about you but my kids tend to get up when the sun starts filling the rooms from the cracks in the blinds so...6:30-7:00. But bedtime last night was a breeze. I'll take it!

On a side note. Luke has another seminar in a couple of weeks. Are you up for some visitors again?
