Haircut

So my little guy got a haircut this week.  I barely recognize him.  He looks like a little boy instead of a baby.  I think it makes it easier to get through the tantrums.  Because it's so easy to see how fast he's growing up and how I need to love every minute of it and every inch of him.

Pretty crazy huh?  I've also done a few layouts.  This first one I just wanted done, since it was over a year and a half ago.  I'd say it's way harder to work with horrible pictures.  You just have to make do.

I just wanted to get this one off the table too.  Again, change in style and focus make it hard to go back and scrap pictures that you've forgotten about.

This one is called, "you too can scrapbook!," or, "how to scrapbook in three easy steps."  Really.  Three.  Easy.  Steps.

So that's it.  The weather is great and we are going outside more than ever.  I was/am so sick of summer and sunscreen and not being able to walk on pavement without shoes.  I went back to yoga today and am excited about getting back into it.  I'm also excited about getting Owen back into a bit of a routine.  I think it'll be good for him too.

Oh yeah, my friend Angela, who I've known since college, has a new Etsy store!  Go check it out:  Potter Beanie on Etsy.

That's it!  Have a great weekend guys.  Thanks for reading!

Winnings

So I was walking around my house this morning in the rain, looking at my gardens, thinking about what I would move where if I had the motivation, when I noticed a package on my front porch.  It must had been left the night before when Owen and I were playing at the park.  Now, I love packages.  Who doesn't, right?  But I've been really trying to not buy much if I can help it these days.  Nonetheless, a mystery package awaited.  I looked at the return address.  Martha Stewart.  What?  I definitely didn't order anything directly from Martha.  Although I love love love her crafting supplies.  She makes wonderful things.  Here is the package.  It looks like it had been to a few mystery places itself:

I opened it up.  This is what I found:

Seriously, is that the best way to start the day or what??  And this book is so beautiful I can't even tell you.  Plus I've been wanting to learn embroidery.  It's on my short list.  Woohoo!  I kind of feel like putting these pics on my blog is like the dad in the Christmas Story putting his "major award" in his front window, burning brightly while he gazed at it proudly.  Sort of.

Check out The Crafts Dept blog.  On the left hand side are all Martha's blogs.  I have to go thank Martha.  She's so cool.

Also please keep praying for my sister-in-law, Kathleen.

Hope your Thursdays are just grrreat.
